Different Grief

1 Thessalonians 1:3

3We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:8

8But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

1 Corinthians 13:13

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Colossians 1:3-6

3We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— 5the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.

1 Peter 1:13

13Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.

1 Thessalonians 4:13

13Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.

2 Corinthians 6:10

10sorrowful, yet always rejoicing . . .

Romans 12:15

15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Ephesians 2:12

12remember that at that time you were separate from Christ . . . without hope and without God in the world.

1 Thessalonians 4:14-17

14For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

John 14:19

19 . . . Because I live, you also will live.

1 Corinthians 6:14

14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.

2 Corinthians 4:14

14because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself.

Philippians 1:23

23 . . . I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;

2 Corinthians 5:8

8 . . . to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Revelation 21:3-4

3 . . . They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

1 Thessalonians 4:18

18Therefore encourage one another with these words.
