The Blessing Tree is a beloved Christmas tradition at Pathway Church. It has been a way for our church family to join together to bless individuals and families in need during the holiday season. We are still planning to have a Blessing Tree this Christmas however it will look a little different than in past years. Due to COVID-19 and recommendations for limiting contact, we have decided to host a virtual Blessing Tree. Our tree will provide family friendly Walmart gift cards (prohibits purchase of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and lottery) which will allow families to purchase the items they need the most whether that be groceries and household items or holiday gifts. While we are not directly purchasing items for these families, you can help provide the funds that will make these gift cards possible. There are families inside our church and in our local community who need a helping hand this season due to lost jobs, fire damage, or are struggling for other reasons. Please consider donating whatever amount you feel led to give. We ask that donations be submitted by December 14th so we can purchase the gift cards and get them distributed before Christmas.

Apple of His Eye Charity
The Blessing Tree is also a way for us to reach out to those in need around the world. We are partnering again with Apple of His Eye Charity (AHEC), a life-changing organization that advocates for the needs of orphans and widows in India and Rwanda (CLICK HERE to visit their website). Would you consider adding AHEC to your Christmas list this year? They are requesting monetary donations which will be applied towards the purchase of items most needed. Here are a few items your donation will help to purchase:
Sandals or tennis shoes are in high demand both for our orphans and widows.
Provide rice for a month for the orphan, widow, leprosy, or AIDS communities.
Provide a dress for an orphan or widow or pants and shirt for our boys.
Provide a month’s supply of food for one of our widows.
The orphans and widows are both in need of transportation. Older Orphans to get to school and jobs and widows to get to market, church, etc.
Widows and orphans that go through our sewing program need a new machine when they graduate.
